Overview
Nairobi exists largely because of a railway depot established during construction of the line from Mombasa to Uganda in the late 19th century. The museum houses vintage locomotives, carriages and photographs documenting this history, including the railway's notorious man-eating lion incidents at Tsavo during construction.
