Overview
Lake Mutanda's setting directly beneath the Virunga volcano range gives it more dramatic mountain backdrops than Lake Bunyonyi, while remaining just as calm and safe for canoeing. It's commonly used as a scenic rest stop between gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Mgahinga.
