A safari to the Chyulu Hills, a chain of young volcanic hills made famous by Ernest Hemingway's writing, home to underground lava tube caves and rolling green landscapes unlike Kenya's flatter savanna parks.

The Chyulu Hills are geologically young volcanic formations, giving them a rounded, green, rolling landscape distinct from Kenya's more typical flat savanna. The area includes Leviathan Cave, one of the world's longest lava tube systems, and was the inspiration for parts of Hemingway's 'The Green Hills of Africa.'
