Overview
Murchison Falls is named for the point where the Nile River is forced through a gorge just 7 meters wide before plunging over a 43-meter drop. The park combines classic savanna game drives north of the river with a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the falls, and an optional hike to the top for a dramatic view down into the gorge.
