Overview
July typically brings the migration to the Grumeti River in the western Serengeti, where the herds face their first major water crossing of the annual cycle. While smaller than the more famous Mara crossings later in the season, Grumeti crossings tend to see fewer visitors while offering similar crocodile-and-predator drama.
